Extra Fixtures

Caboolture Tennis sometimes holds extra fixtures outside of our regular programming during the year and also over holidays. These extra organised fixture events are subject to how much support there is at the time and may go for several weeks; for example, a Friday night singles round robin type fixture graded or an organised fast 4 social hit.

How the grading works

The graded fixtures is a grading system whereby players are allocated a certain division and team position depending on their skill level. This system is very effective and designed to place players against a similar skilled opposition so all members can be evenly challenged when playing their fixtures.

For example, our typical Monday night graded fixtures is divided into 3 graded divisions of players and each team in those divisions has 4 players whom are also graded from 1 to 4 (1 being the most skilled). When the singles matches are played each member will play their opposite number.

After each season, the singles results are collated and players are re-graded; meaning, depending on their results compared to their peers they may go up a grade, go down a grade, or stay in their current graded position.
