caboolture tennis book a court system tennis queensland keypad entry to play

You can now hire and book a court to play at the Caboolture Tennis courts online!

Hello

This is to let you know that the Caboolture and District Tennis Association’s Monday night and Wednesday night fixtures will recommence on 13/7/2020. This is great news for club members and anyone who wants to play fixtures in the Caboolture region.

The recommencement of fixtures is part of the staged reopening of tennis activities following the shutdown of the Centre on 25/3/2020 due to COVID-19. As such, the recommencement must follow Tennis Queensland’s Return To Play Roadmap (Stage 3), which allows for gatherings of up to 100 people and not more than 1 person per 4 square metres. Additional details can be obtained from the Tennis Queensland website https://www.tennis.com.au/qld/home/covid19clubsupport/tennis-recovery-stages

The Centre is now open to the public and available for coaching, tournaments and social tennis, in addition to the fixtures.  Caboolture Tennis is also seeking new members to participate in the fixtures, so why not shake off the winter cob webs and enjoy a game!  If you would like to use the courts or sign up for fixtures please contact the Caboolture Tennis Centre Manager on 0401355522. All users are still required to pay the appropriate court hire costs (as detailed on the Caboolture Tennis Website).

Please note that the Centre is being periodically cleaned with disinfectant and hand sanitisers are available at the Centre.

The Caboolture Tennis Management Committee seek your patience and understanding during these challenging times.  While the recommencement of fixtures is great news, everyone needs to maintain social distancing and hygiene, otherwise the Centre may need to be closed again.

Regards,

Tony Courtney (12/7/2020 Caboolture and District Tennis Association Club President)

Hello

This is to let you know that the Caboolture and District Tennis Association will commence a staged reopening of tennis activities from Tuesday 19/5/20.  This good news follows the advice provided by the Commonwealth and Queensland State Governments approving limited and staged opening of sporting facilities.

From Tuesday 19/5/20 the Caboolture Tennis Courts will be available for one-on-one coaching.  The courts will also be available to the public and Caboolture Tennis Club members.  During this early stage of reopening, the courts are available for hire from 5-8PM on Wednesdays and Fridays.  If you would like to use the courts outside of this time please contact Karen on 0401355522.  (Please note that Centre Manager Margaret Lusk is currently on personal leave).

Use of the courts will be in a staged process over the following weeks and months.  Initially, all tennis games and activities will be limited to 2 people per court, to maintain social distancing.  Also, please only use every second or alternate court, again to maintain social distancing (although 4 members from the same household are permitted to use 2 adjacent courts for singles, or a single court for doubles).

All users are still required to pay the appropriate court hire costs (as detailed on the Caboolture Tennis Website).

Please don't bring spectators to the Tennis Centre, as gathering is still discouraged.  Please note that all tables, chairs and sitting areas will remain roped off, to discourage gathering.  Also please note gates to the courts have been zip-tied open, to discourage touching the gates, which could spread COVID19.  Please note that the Centre is being periodically cleaned with disinfectant and hand sanitisers will be available at the Centre.

Unfortunately, all fixtures games are still on hold until further notice.  If the staged opening is successful, then the days and hours that the Centre will open will increase.  Hopefully, all other activities at the centre, including competitions and fixtures, will also recommence in the following months.

The Caboolture Tennis Management Committee seek your patience and understanding during these challenging times.  While reopening the Centre is good news, everyone needs to maintain social distancing, discourage gathering and maintain hygiene, otherwise the Centre may need to be closed again.  The staged opening of the Centre is conditional upon approval from Tennis Queensland and the Moreton Bay Regional Council.

Regards,

Tony Courtney (11/5/2020 Caboolture and District Tennis Association Club President)
