tennis australian open joker vs murray 620 grants

Hello Caboolture Tennis Association members and friends,

Just a brief message to let you know that the Caboolture Tennis Association has been successful recently at securing two significant grants.

The first grant is for $17,438 from the Moreton Bay Regional Council’s Community Facilities Grant for the supply and installation of a 21.5 kW solar panel system. This is great news as the system will reduce the Association’s annual electricity bill by several thousand dollars (estimated 82% reduction), improve the Association’s financial viability and reduce its greenhouse emissions and environmental footprint. The company supplying and installing the system is Positronic located at Geebung (https://www.positronicsolar.com.au/). The total cost of the system is $23,250 with the Association contributing the remaining $5812.

The second grant is for $7259 from the Queensland Government’s Sport and Recreation Active Restart Infrastructure Recovery Fund for the supply and installation of the Book a Court (BAC) system (https://www.tennis.com.au/clubs/book-a-court) which is an online court booking and payment platform that connects with pin pad technology on the Club’s gate. The total cost of the BAC system is $14,259, with the remaining $7000 to be paid by Tennis Australia through their National Court Rebate scheme ($4000) and Caboolture Tennis ($3000).

The BAC will improve how members and casual users book and pay for court usage. It will also improve the current honesty system of payment and hopefully increase revenue for the Club.

Planning and approvals for the solar and BAC systems are underway and both systems should be up and running in early 2021. Collectively, the technology will help modernise and sustain the Club. The Caboolture Tennis Association greatly appreciates the opportunity and funding support provided by the Moreton Bay Regional Council and the Queensland Government through their respective grant schemes. Thanks also to the Association’s management committee for developing and preparing the grant proposals.

Regards,

Tony Courtney
